A bit about me

Growing up I dreamed of being an actor, so after studying English at university I took the plunge and trained at drama school.

For over a decade I was lucky enough to perform in regional theatres across the UK and Europe, but despite how much I loved performing I found the lifestyle far too volatile; so, I made the painful decision to leave acting.

Like many actors the search for a new career is difficult, as there are very few corporations that appreciate jazz hands or a soliloquy. So, I found myself in marketing and sales, and despite the financial security it offered I always struggled with my new direction.

So I made another career jump and hung up my corporate suit (next to my leotard and tap shoes), and retrained in hypnotherapy. But it was important for me to find a school that shared my perspective of therapy, and one whose philosophy was not focused on ‘magical’ or ‘wonder’ with regards to hypnotherapy, but rather on science. I wanted to be taken seriously, but most of all I wanted to offer the best therapy I could and be able to explain the logic behind my approach with clinical evidence.

We all have our issues, I certainly do, but having someone to help can make a huge difference (it did to me). So please get in touch if you would like to know anymore about the areas that I can help with, or if you would simply like to talk. If I can’t help be assured that I will do my absolute best to find someone who can!

My training

I have a level 4 diploma from the UK College of Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy, one of the leading UK trainers of hypnotherapy. Its philosophy centres on a science-based approach and is therefore highly regarded and recognised by the British Psychological Society as CPD for registered psychologists. Furthermore, it is one of the few qualifications that is externally awarded by the government-regulated awarding body NCFE-CACHE, and is accredited by no less than 8 professional organisations. I am committed to further training and am constantly expanding my depth of knowledge and experience, in order to offer the best possible treatment for clients.
